Throw in support for aptX Adaptive, one of the highest quality Bluetooth codecs, Bluetooth 5.2 compliance, and the Sennheiser Smart Control app (a gateway to trying out EQ) and you’ve got an impressive selection.
There’s also the option to switch to wired listening – either with the supplied 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable or USB-C to USB-C (not supplied).

But, how do they sound? However, our expert testers said: “To their credit, the Momentum 4 Wireless’ presentation is clear and direct enough to demand your attention. When we started playing music with it, we were also impressed by its tonal balance, which has shed a layer or two of the richness that marked the older Momentums, in favor of more neutrality this time around.”
And the fourth-generation Momentum Wireless’ ANC is truly decent, which our testers praised: “As we drove down a busy street, we found that traffic was well avoided – reduced to a visual, not an audible, distraction. The Sony XM5 has a slight edge when it comes to blocking out loud sounds, such as trucks playing, low-key music, or low-key music. Out of ten, both seem to be equally effective at canceling out noise and keeping it at bay. in the bubble that the music uses when it plays.”
