Hisense CanvasTV is a Google smart TV, supported by 4K and Dolby Vision, a 144Hz refresh rate, anti-glare coating, and an almost foldable design. When you hang it on the wall, it blends in with other works of art, such as a picture frame. There is even an art mode that allows you to display beautiful artwork with realistic painting details. That goes well with the high matte design of the display to look like real canvas material. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet, with four HDMI ports, and USB. In the box you get a teak frame, a wall bracket, and the usual, like a remote control.
In addition to being expensive, Samsung TVs don’t even have a feature that Google may soon add, and has desperately needed for years, that is already available on Google’s smart TVs: Google Cast support. Those are very high marks, with 89% of those reviews having four stars and above, and 78% sitting at five stars. People seem to really like this TV. But what do they actually say?
Top reviews praise it as “a great art TV” without the high cost, and say it offers “great art” and a high-quality, canvas-like experience. Many users even expressed the opinion that it is better than Samsung’s The Frame series, or that it is actually better than the “average TV” you can buy.
Although, to keep things objective, some of the negative reviews paint themselves differently. Others voiced their frustration, saying it was clumsy, couldn’t handle popular apps like YouTube, or other features stopped working like the audio cut out at times.
