Logitech he announced Spotlight 2 Advanced Presentera presentation remote designed beyond a slider with haptics, digital highlighting tools, and a guided speaker breathing experience
The device is aimed at people presenting in meeting rooms, classrooms, hybrid meetings, and on stage. Logitech says the goal is to help presenters stay focused on the audience instead of looking down at the remote control or back to their laptop to find the same controls.
Public speaking is stressful for many people, and Logitech told us that 64% of presenters feel anxious before going on stagemaking confidence and control an important part of the making of Spotlight 2.
The biggest change is a force-sensitive highlight button with haptic feedback. A soft press can display a digital indicator, while a firm press can trigger a selected highlight effect. Logitech says that different story levels provide different haptic feedback, helping presenters confirm action by feel. Haptics are not just a luxury. They provide presenters with tangible assurance, so they can highlight, point, or prepare without looking away from the audience.
Spotlight 2 includes several digital highlighting methods: Spotlight, Squarelight, Zoom, Annotate, and Digital Pointer. These are useful because they can be seen by personal and remote audiences, unlike a conventional laser. However, Logitech still includes a Class 1 laser pointer for physical rooms, whiteboards, and projector screens. The laser is activated by long clicking on the Side Action Button.
That Action Button it can also be customized in the Logi Options+ app for shortcuts such as starting a presentation, closing the screen, pausing, or muting. Auto setup starts and exits launch mode with one click.
Another unusual feature guided breathing mode. Spotlight 2 uses haptic pulses, combined with visual cues in Logi Options+, to help presenters calm down before speaking. Logitech has confirmed that there is no smartwatch integration dedicated to stress tracking, although users can still use the smartwatch independently.
The hardware has been redesigned with a large concave highlight button, Back and Next buttons side-by-side, with a very secure grip. It connects more Bluetooth or included Logi Bolt USB-C receiverworks up to 100 meters, and supports PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, and Prezi on all major platforms.
Battery life is limited to up to three months, and a one-minute charge provides up to three hours of launch time.
Spotlight 2 will be available in Graphite and Sand globally, and Light Lilac and Black in select markets, and will be available in logitech.com for $129.99.
