The Beats Pill is down to $72, plus additional Beats recommendations

Published:

Whether you’re shopping for yourself, Father’s Day, or graduation season, Apple’s Beats brand makes a wide range of great options. Here are my top recommendations (with big discounts).

We’ve teamed up with Best Buy to promote Beats headphones for up to $190 off.

Beats Pill (from $71.99)

Loyal 9to5Mac readers will know that I’m a big fan of the Beats tablet, which made its triumphant return to the market in 2024. Since then, I’ve used my Beats Pill every day — and sometimes even pair two of them together when I need an extra boost.

As I wrote in my full review:

Thanks to that custom Beats chip inside, it can offer deeper integration with Apple platforms than any other Bluetooth speaker on the market.

Beats Pill does almost everything right to revive the abandoned, fan-favorite product. It stays true to its iconic roots while making a few notable improvements. That includes better sound quality, improved battery life, improved connectivity, and USB-C.

And what makes that improvement even more remarkable are the prices.

The Beats Pill normally retails for $149.99, but Best Buy is running some killer deals right now:

Powerbeats Pro 2

The Powerbeats Pro 2 were Apple’s first headphones to include a built-in monitor, which also integrates with third-party apps and Apple’s own fitness app. Plus, they feature a workout-friendly earhook design that keeps them in place no matter what you’re doing.

Here is what I wrote about the Powerbeats Pro 2 in my full review:

The Powerbeats Pro 2 is a complete iteration of the product line. They keep the fan-favorite design while at the same time making major improvements to the form factor, such as smaller earbuds and a smaller charging case. Battery life is stellar and performance is excellent thanks to the H2 chip. Secure equity is not the same.

The release of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is the latest piece of evidence that Beats is firing on all cylinders right now. They represent the company’s most ambitious product yet, including an important form of regeneration and heart rate monitoring technology for the first time.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 normally retail for $250, but they’re on sale for Father’s Day and graduation season right now:

Studio Pro

If you’re looking for over-ear headphones that are more affordable than Apple’s AirPods Max, the Beats Studio Pro is a great option.

Here is what I wrote in my full review:

I’ve been testing the Beats Studio Pro for the past week, and it’s staying true to the expectations that Beats has set with all of its latest products. Namely: They pack an impressive array of features at a lower price than Apple’s alternatives but with a few omissions that could leave Apple users frustrated.

That being said: The features offered by the Beats Studio Pro – and not offered by the AirPods Max – make Apple’s headphones impossible to recommend at the moment. Oh, and the Beats Studio Pro is cheap and includes a 3.5mm headphone cable in the box.

The Beats Studio Pro retails for $350, but you can find them on sale right now:
