LIFX officially released it Smart Dimmer Switcha The story is confirmed wall switch designed to bring intelligent lighting control to existing installations without requiring users to replace their current light fixtures.
It was originally revealed on CES 2026Smart Dimmer combines traditional wall-mounted dimming with smart home functionality, providing support for both standard dimmables again LIFX smart lights. The device replaces an existing switch and works like a regular dimmer from day one, with no hub, app, or internet connection required for basic operation.
IMPORTANT OVER WI-FI CONNECTIVITY
The Smart Dimmer connects directly to a 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi network and supports The issue with Wi-Fiwhich allows it to be integrated with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and other platforms compatible with Matter. Once connected, users can control lighting through their smart home ecosystem, create automations and schedules, and use voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Story support also allows the switch to interact with other compatible devices throughout the home, regardless of manufacturer. The switch requires a central cable, which will exclude some users, unfortunately.
ACCESSIBLE TO 12 PROGRAMMABLE ACTIONS
In addition to controlling lighting, the Smart Dimmer includes four custom buttons that can be assigned to smart home scenes, processes, and actions.
