Spotify has launched a new feature that allows users to save AI-generated audio snippets called Personal Podcasts directly to their Spotify library. It uses a new desktop command-line tool that works with AI coding agents such as OpenAI’s Codex and Anthropic Claude’s Codex. <\/p>\n
After you install Save to Spotify CLI from GitHub and sign in to your Spotify account, you can tell the agent to generate a custom audio piece, such as a daily news digest, a reading guide extracted from class notes, or a weekly tour. Once produced, it appears alongside your music and regular podcasts in your library.<\/p>\n

\nPeople have already started using their agents to create a personalized voice that guides their day: from summaries of class notes before exams to notes on what’s on their calendar. And they asked for a way to listen to it on Spotify, when they listen to everything else.<\/p>\n
Now, we make it possible to save and play Personal Podcasts on Spotify. Your agent can create daily content, which is private to you, and saved alongside everything else in your Library. And as always with Spotify, it’s seamlessly integrated across all the devices you use.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Spotify gives you a few examples of use to get you started, such as a morning forum that flags upcoming meetings, checks the weather, and recommends a podcast for the commute to work, or a continuous deep audio series built from saved articles and personal notes for reading a new topic.<\/p>\n
The feature remains in beta but is available worldwide to free and eligible subscribers, although Spotify warns that there are usage restrictions during the testing period.<\/p>\n
The launch of the CLI tool follows Spotify’s release last month of the Claude integration that allows users to connect their Spotify account to the chatbot and request personalized music and podcast recommendations in the chat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
