Next<\/span>\/<\/span>The GameCube<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n We’re quickly approaching the 1-year anniversary of the Nintendo Classics GameCube library on Switch 2. While we’ve had more titles added since then, it’s been two months since Nintendo brought a new title to the service and it’s time to dive into all the confirmed titles and what the next Game Cube game will be. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When Nintendo first revealed the library of the Switch 2 Game Cube it presented three titles and showed off a bunch of others that should have been expected later. Since then it has more than made good on that promise as it has now released all but two of the games mentioned in that first trailer. <\/p>\n Specifically, and after it finally launched Pok\u00e9mon XD: Gale of Darkness back in mid-March, the only two titles that Nintendo promised have yet to arrive are Pok\u00e9mon Colosseum and Super Mario Sunshine. <\/p>\n One would have expected that both Gale of Darkness and Colosseum would have arrived as part of the Pok\u00e9mon Day and 30th anniversary celebrations over the past few months, so it’s anyone’s guess what’s going on with Colosseum – perhaps Nintendo is waiting for Gen 10 titles or some other special event tied to another Pocket Monster release. <\/p>\n But with the sun starting to shine even brighter and hotter as we approach the summer of 2026, it would seem like the perfect time to release the previously promised Mario Sunshine. Many people thought this one would hit last summer, and Nintendo seems to have a big Mario hole in its Switch 2 catalog with leaks suggesting we won’t get a new game until 2027. <\/p>\n But perhaps the best guess here would be surrounding the recent (and not so) surprise (of sorts) reveal of the new Star Fox for Switch 2. That is set for release at the end of June and with some people waiting for the next Game Cube release that may be before then, Nintendo may want to really surprise us with a new Star Fox GameCube release to create hype before the release. <\/p>\n There were two Star Fox games for the Game Cube – Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Adventures, the latter of which was shown exclusively during the recent Star Fox Direct.
