Apple this week teased the event with the tagline “All apps are glowing”, a play on the phrase “all apps are moving,” and may be showing the rumored new design for Siri in iOS 27. Both the dedicated Siri app and the new “Search or Ask” feature on the iPhone’s Dynamic Island were reported to have a black color scheme with glowing features last week, as shown last week.<\/p>\n

Apple also shared new WWDC 2026-themed wallpapers, an Apple Music playlist, and a “Get Ready” video to help developers prepare for more at next week’s conference.<\/p>\n

In an earnings call in late April, Apple CEO Tim Cook said customer response to the MacBook Neo was “off the charts,” and the laptop’s popularity reportedly led the company to expand production.<\/p>\n

Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo this week said he believes Apple’s MacBook Neo shipments have doubled from an initial target of 5 million units to 10 million units by 2026 sometime after the laptop’s launch in March.<\/p>\n

The MacBook Neo is quickly reshaping the low-cost laptop segment, with companies like Acer, ASUS, and Dell responding to the change and in some cases already launching their own competing products.<\/p>\n

New Apple TV and HomePod Mini ‘Soon’ to Launch, New Siri Remote and Rumors<\/h3>\n

The new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models are “almost ready to go,” according to the latest word Bloomberg<\/em>by Mark Gurman.<\/p>\n

Both devices have been ready for “months,” but Apple is holding off on launching them until a personal version of Siri is available, he said.<\/p>\n

“I’m told that the hardware for the next Apple TV set-top box and the HomePod mini have been in the works for months and that both devices are already working among employees at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California,” Gurman wrote.<\/p>\n

The device is believed to have entered early mass production, but the model shown may be a dummy. The iPhone Ultra will reportedly feature vapor chamber cooling and a liquid metal hinge, with production efforts said to be ramping up now following reports of some delays due to various challenges with the complex storage mechanism.<\/p>\n

iPhone 18 Pro Battery Capacity Allegedly Leaked<\/h3>\n

The battery capacity of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro is said to have already surfaced, and the numbers suggest a slight increase over the iPhone 17 Pro.<\/p>\n

According to the highly-regarded Weibo-based Digital Chat Station, Apple is testing the iPhone 18 Pro with different batteries for the Chinese and US versions of the device, similar to last year’s iPhone 17 Pro models. The Chinese model is said to have a 4,056 mAh battery, while the US model is said to have a 4,288 mAh battery.<\/p>\n

In other iPhone 18 Pro rumors, the new variable aperture camera will reportedly cost Apple 50% more than the corresponding unit in the current iPhone 17 Pro, while other new dummy units also preview the expected colors of this year’s Pro models.<\/p>\n
