Eufy has announced three new additions to its FamiLock range, with the flagship FamiLock E40 joined by the FamiLock E35 (listed in some regions as the E34) and the more mainstream FamiLock E32. While each model targets a different segment of the market, all three support Matter, allowing integration with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and other Matter-compatible platforms.<\/p>\n
FAMILOCK E40 COMBINES SMART LOCK, CAMERA, AND DOORBELL<\/span><\/h5>\n

The FamiLock E40 is the most feature-rich model of the three, combining a smart lock, video doorbell, and security camera into one device. Its main access method is facial recognition, with all facial data stored locally on the device. The system is designed to recognize users under various conditions, including when wearing glasses or hats.<\/p>\n
In addition to locking functionality, the E40 includes a 2K camera with a 135-degree head-to-toe field of view designed for capturing visitors and package deliveries. Human detection is handled by a 60GHz radar sensor, which claims to reduce false alarms caused by pets, moving objects, or environmental factors.<\/p>\n
Power is provided by a 15,000mAh rechargeable battery, backed by an integrated 800mAh backup battery that automatically activates when needed. The E40 is also integrated into the wider eufy ecosystem and can be paired with HomeBase 3 to access additional AI-powered features.<\/p>\n
Device support allows the lock to be integrated with Apple Home and other smart home platforms. Although Matter 1.5 introduces support for cameras and video doorbells, platform support remains limited. At the time of writing, SmartThings is the only major ecosystem that has enabled Matter camera support, so users will still need to rely on the eufy app to access camera and doorbell features when using most other smart home platforms.<\/p>\n
The FamiLock E35, marketed as the E34 in some regions, features palm vein recognition as its primary unlocking method. According to eufy, the system can recognize registered users in about 0.6 seconds by scanning vein patterns under the skin, with all biometric data stored in a locked area.<\/p>\n
The lock uses a dual battery system that includes a 10,000mAh rechargeable battery, which is claimed to provide up to eight months of operation, alongside a built-in 750mAh backup battery that automatically takes over when the main battery runs out of power or is removed for charging.<\/p>\n
Built-in Wi-Fi allows remote access without requiring a separate hub or bridge. The lock can also be connected to other eufy devices, including cameras and video doorbells, within the eufy app. For smart home users, the E35 supports Matter, allowing integration with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and other compatible platforms.<\/p>\n
FAMILOCK E32 OFFERS A STORY BEYOND THE FIELD<\/span><\/h5>\n

The FamiLock E32 is a standard lock for the new trio, offering fingerprint recognition, keypad access, physical keying, and remote control via the eufy app. One notable feature is the support for Matter over Thread, which allows the lock to communicate using the low-power Thread network protocol when connected to a parallel Thread Border router. This allows direct integration with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and other Matter compatible ecosystems while maintaining local smart home connectivity.<\/p>\n
The lock also includes built-in Wi-Fi for remote access, eliminating the need for a separate bridge. Powered by eight AA batteries, battery status notifications are available through the app. A traditional key cylinder is always available as a backup in case the batteries die completely. Like the E35, the E32 is designed as a retrofit-style deadbolt intended for direct installation on standard North American doors.<\/p>\n

With all three models supporting Matter, eufy continues to expand its compatibility with smart home ecosystems. The E32 will appeal to users looking for a traditional Matter-over-Thread smart lock, while the E35 introduces palm vein authentication, and the flagship E40 combines facial recognition, doorbell, camera, and smart lock functionality into one device.<\/p>\n
