Apple has raised prices significantly on all Mac models and iPads on sale, as well as significant price increases on many other Apple devices and accessories. <\/p>\n
The price of the iPhone remains unchanged for now, as does the price of the Apple Watch. Price hikes have recently been rumored to be coming soon due to increased memory prices, and they’ve officially arrived today. <\/p>\n

The stated reason for the significant increase in prices is the worldwide shortage of RAM and SSD, which is caused by the large purchases of these components by various AI companies. Apple released a statement to Reuters explaining this:<\/p>\n
\n“We’ve never seen a price increase this big, so quickly. We’ve protected our customers from these increases until now, but now we’ve reached the point where we need to start raising prices on several products, including today’s iPad and Mac increases. We know this is not welcome news, and we’re working hard to find solutions.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Relatedly, the Wall Street Journal reported that the proliferation of data centers is leading to further inflation, which has<\/p>\n
Hardware price increases range from anywhere from 13% to as high as 54%, depending on the model and device. This translates to roughly a $200 price increase per MacBook Air, a $300 price increase per MacBook Pro, a $100 price increase for the MacBook Neo, and up to a $200 price increase for iPad models. <\/p>\n

- There is no change yet, although it is reasonable to expect a similar price increase this fall when the iPhone 18 is launched<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

AirPods Price Increase?<\/h3>\n

No consumer is happy with the price increase, so this will undoubtedly not appeal to end users and those who want to buy Apple products.<\/p>\n
There is good news though; Amazon has yet to raise prices on a lot of Apple gear, so you can still enjoy Apple deals and discounts that beat the price increase when you shop there, and those deals look even better now that prices have gone up everywhere from Apple. What was once a $150 discount on a MacBook Air is now a $350 discount on the same machine, for example. Check out Amazon’s Apple store and shop while these low prices last. <\/p>\n
